Content Stores

Structure

This chapter describes the data structure which all OpenWGA content stores share, i.e. how OpenWGA interprets the data that comes from the database backend.

The main entities in content stores are called documents, with "document" being generally just a metaphor for a data organisation unit with a deeper internal structure (opposed to "data record"). They carry most of the data and build most of the data structure by the relations they have to each other.

Some additional other data is stored in a content store which does not adhere to the "document" metaphor for differing reasons.
